Harrogate bounced back from their defeat at Salford at the weekend with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Stockport County to cut the gap at the top of the table to eight points. Jack Emmett gave Harrogate the lead after 24 minutes before Christopher Smalley levelled 11 minutes later for the visitors. However, it was Harrogate who took the points thanks to further goals from George Thomson, Dominic Knowles and Terry Kennedy.

Blyth Spartans recent dip in form continued, as they lost 1-0 at home to Alfreton who helped their survival chances. Brendan Daniels scored the only goal of the game in the first half, which lifted Alfreton up to 13th in the league table.

Kidderminster Harriers moved up to sixth with a 4-0 win over FC United of Manchester. Mark Croasdale and Joe Ironside scored early in the second half for Harriers before the visitors were reduced to ten men. George Waring and Elton Ngwatala added further goals for Kidderminster who are only two points behind fourth place York.

In the final midweek game our next opponents Leamington overcame relegation rivals Gainsborough Trinity 3-0. Daniel Udoh scored twice along with an own goal to move the Brakes up to 16th.
