Everybody at Darlington FC is saddened and very shocked to learn about the sudden death of our former player, Osagi Bascome.

Osagi was signed by Tommy Wright in March 2019 after arriving in the country from Bermuda, for whom he won 18 caps, and was best known in a Darlington shirt for supplying the stoppage time free kick that led to Joe Wheatley dramatically equalising in the FA Cup tie at Walsall in 2019.

He made 16 appearances for us, before he left the club at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Osagi's death has been confirmed by police in Bermuda, who have now launched a murder investigation.
