Darlington FC Youth U10 -V- Improtech Soccer Bees

Today’s MOTM - Owen Roberson

With a great start from the U10s in the Russell Foster League Div. 1 we came up against Improtech Soccer Bees.

Starting off brightly we looked comfortable letting Improtech play at the back and winning the ball once they tried to get forward, in possession we moved the ball and got it forward quickly creating a handful of good chances with clinical finishing from both Reuben and Owen.

Unfortunately everything we did well at the start we then stopped doing and let Improtech back in the game, playing out from the back and starting to get a foothold in midfield they pulled back in the first half.

The second half started pretty much the same as the end of the first, with us off the pace, Improtech adapting a more long ball game again started creating openings but good defending from Jamie and Lewis and brave goalkeeping from Dillon kept them out, fortunately we started to slowly get back on top and MOM Owen Roberson was able to complete his hat trick with a great finish following an impressive run down the left from Luca Petch.

But Improtech threw numbers forward with some slick passing, and slightly shaken the boys realised the game was far from over and credit to them dug deep and worked hard to take control again as Reuben capped another dominant performance in midfield.
