The club is sad to learn of the death of former Darlington manager Paul Futcher.
Paul, 60, died on Thursday following a long battle with cancer.
In his playing career, he was the most expensive defender in English football when Manchester City paid Luton Town £350,000 for him in 1978, and he went on to play for Oldham Athletic, Derby County, Barnsley, Halifax Town and Grimsby before he had a spell as manager of Quakers in 1995.
He also managed Southport, and took them to the FA Trophy final in 1998, and played in that final at the age of 41.
The club would like to pass on our condolences to his family.
