Pay it again Sam

It’s no secret that Darlington Football Club’s finances have been severely squeezed by the lack of home games since the end of October. In particular the two bumper gates that were expected for the matches against Whitby Town and Ilkeston over the Christmas period are unlikely to be realised on the rearranged dates.

Thanks to a novel suggestion by proactive Quakers fan, Steve Gowling, Darlington FC Supporters Group is inviting Season Ticket Holders to donate the price of the entry ticket at the match against Matlock Town this Saturday. There will be volunteers with marked buckets pitch side of the turnstiles. Any donations will be given directly to the Football Club.

In the event that this match doesn’t go ahead, then thanks to a suggestion from another proactive fan, Ian Taylor, all Quakers fans are invited to donate the price of an entry ticket at Quaker Retail, which is in the Dolphin Centre foyer between 10am and 1pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Donations can be made either by cash or cheque.(While you're there, why not buy something from our January sale in Quaker Retail?)

If you can’t get to Quaker Retail, you can donate by bank transfer to sort code 30-84-43, account no. 30227860. All donations will be forwarded on to the Football Club.

Many thanks for your generosity and let’s hope for drier times ahead!
