Goalkeeper Jeff Wealands, second from right, is welcomed to his hometown club by chairman Harry Robinson ahead of the 1970-71 season. Also pictured is trainer Dickie Deacon, right, coach Chris Harker, second from left, and manager Len Richley, centre. Having failed to make the breakthrough as a teenager at Wolves, Darlington-born Wealands joined his local club and made 31 appearances in 18 months before moving on to Hull City, where he stayed for seven seasons, making close to 250 appearances.
