Darlington FC Youth U16 v Hetton U16

(Main sponsors DBS)

The game started briskly with Hetton having a lot of the ball without really troubling the Darlington back four, and Darlington hitting on the counter attack.

The game changed as Darlington continued to counter attack at pace with James Chapman and Euan Devonshire causing Hetton problems with their pace, Chapman surged forward beating several men with quick feet and skill then slotting an inch perfect ball to Lewis Smith who took the chance with great aplomb. 1-0 Darlington. Half Time.

The second half saw Hetton get a swift equaliser after a scramble in the six yard box. From then on it was all Darlington who piled the pressure on with some great passing and direct runs James Chapman hit the crossbar after a fantastic save from Hettons keeper.

Despite having almost all of the possession Darlington failed to convert.

FULL TIME 1-1
