Quaker Women looking for double over Horden
By Ray Simpson
League game away on Sunday
Darlington FC Women are back in league action this Sunday as they travel to Horden to take on Horden Community Welfare Women.
The Quaker Women will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at the hands of Birtley Town last time out. Horden beat CLS Reserves 2-0 last time out and will be looking put right the loss they suffered earlier in the season.
Horden were the visitors to Eastbourne Sports Complex early on in the season, in September 22, Darlington ran out 2-0 winners with Lacey Baldwin and Katie Sheridan getting on the scoresheet. There was not much between the sides and Horden were a much improved team from pre season.
Darlington still sit 5th in the league table with 17 points from 11 games. Whereas Horden are sitting in 8th just 2 points behind on 15 points, however they have played 3 more games and 14 in total.
Any travelling support for the Quaker Women would be hugely appreciated.
