Darlington FC and Feethams Leisure today formally shook hands on a deal that sees the new leisure complex become the club's new media sponsor.

Darlington director Richard Cook (left), and Simon Hawkins from developers Urban and Civic, met at the formal opening of Feethams Leisure (on the site of the old bus station for anyone who is wondering!) and confirmed what everyone hopes will be a long-running partnership.

Feethams Leisure will now be associated with all of Darlington FC's media activities, and there will be several initiatives involving both parties as the season progresses.

Feethams Fest, which is being held this weekend to celebrate the opening of the new leisure complex, continues Sunday. Joanne Cameron and Mr Q are representing the club.

The local restaurants are also giving away free food and discount vouchers.
