While the majority of teams in our division are in FA Cup 3rd qualifying round action this weekend, we look to move into the playoff places, as we travel to Curzon Ashton (writes Simon Hahn)

Ours is the only game being played in the division on Saturday, with a win guaranteed to move us up to sixth place in the league table.

The two sides have met four times in recent years with the Nash just getting the better of ourselves. In the 2013/14 season we went head-to-head for the Evo-Stik Division One North title. Curzon won 1-0 at home before a 4-0 win at Heritage Park all but secured the title for them that they would go on to claim.

Last season we shared the spoils, as we won 2-1 away from home with goals by Liam Hardy and Kev Burgess before Curzon won at Blackwell Meadows 3-1.

The team that won at the Tameside Stadium last season was:

Jameson, Marrs, Galbraith, Turnbull, Burgess, Brown, Mitchell (sub Scott 63), Portas, Beck, Hardy (sub Purewal 53), Gillies

Subs: Bell, Nightingale, Cartman

Curzon are 16th in the table three points behind ourselves, but have a strong home record. They have only lost once at home in six league games so far, that was against Blyth on 26th August.

Their last three results:

Brackley (away) drew 2-2

Stockport County (away, FA Cup) lost 0-1

Leamington (home) drew 1-1

Kick off on Saturday is 3pm, updates on the game will be made from the club’s Facebook, Twitter and Website. Live Commentary will be broadcast from Darlo Fans Radio from 2:50pm which is kindly sponsored by Tempest Jones.
