Quakers fans raise £100 to replace Boston flag

Generous fans step forward

Darlington fans have quickly raised £100 to cover the cost of a Boston flag that went missing over the weekend.

Boston fan Josh Butler asked for help in finding the missing black and amber flag following Saturday’s game at Blackwell Meadows, but without any success.

When reading of his plight, Darlington video man Kevin Luff organised a collection, and the response was immediate from sympathetic and generous Darlington fans, and the target was reached within hours. Kev now is arranging to send the cash to Boston. We’re sure everyone would like to thank Kev for his efforts.

Club officials are now appealing for information about the disappearance of the flag – which appears to have happened around the half time period in the game – and fans can write in confidence to dave.watson@darlingtonfc.org.
