Darlington head to North Ferriby on Saturday for the first ever meeting between the two clubs.

We travel to East Yorkshire looking to bounce back from our first defeat of the season last weekend. We fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Telford United on a disappointing afternoon at Blackwell Meadows, but we still have ten points from five games.

North Ferriby picked up their first points of the season in the North East last weekend having lost their first four games against Curzon Ashton, Brackley, Harrogate and Alfreton without scoring a goal. They came back from their trip to Blyth Spartans with a 1-0 win to lift them off the foot of the table.

Two seasons ago they were promoted from the National North after playoff final victory over AFC Fylde (Darlington's Liam Marrs was in the Boston team that lost to them in the semi final), but last season were relegated straight back down. They won the FA Trophy in 2015, with former Darlington player Jason St Juste in their side.

The fixture is the first of a Bank Holiday weekend with all the sides in the division playing twice. On Monday we host Spennymoor Town, while North Ferriby travel to Gainsborough Trinity.

Kick off on Saturday is 3:00pm, updates on the game will be made from the club’s Facebook, Twitter and Website. Live Commentary will be broadcast from Darlo Fans Radio at 2:50pm.

Directions to North Ferriby:

Postcode HU14 3AB

(Directions from the North Ferriby website)

If you are heading to Ferriby from the West, get onto the Eastbound M62 and follow it to the end, it becomes the A63 about 12 miles from Hull. Keep heading on towards Hull. Look out for the turn off for Ferriby on the left. Go over the bridge and turn left. Follow this road past the Duke of Cumberland Pub. There is a crossroads just after the pub, you need to turn right down Church Road. Follow the road down, past the Church, and you will quickly come upon a sign for the ground on your left, just before the overhead rail bridge. It is usually best to find somewhere to park on Church Road, as the carpark down Grange Lane fills up fast. From the top of Grange Lane it is a short walk past the allotments to the ground.
