Quakers drew their last pre season friendly at Guiseley, the second time in a week that they have drawn away at a National side.

Quakers had the first chance on 5 minutes when Terry Galbraith floated a free kick from 35 yards out into the Guiseley area, where Dominic Collins headed wide.

They held their own quite well after that, winning the ball in midfield and forcing Guiseley into mistakes, and when Guiseley did create a half chance, Liam Marrs dealt with a right wing cross well by conceding a corner.

Guiseley created a clearer chance when they won the ball on the left, and Callum mcFadzean curled an effort just over the bar.

But with Harvey Saunders causing problems on the break with his pace, Quakers probed the Guiseley defence.

Darlo keeper Adam Bartlett pulled off a good save from Reece Thompson just on half time.

Quakers had the first chance of the second half when David Syers played a through ball for Saunders, who turned his marker and hit a low left foot shot that Jonny Maxted saved low down.

Then Thompson broke through down the right, but Terry Galbraith put in a good saving tackle. Will Hatfield tried a left foot shot that flew just wide off target.

But Quakers responded on 64 minutes when Nathan Cartman robbed a defender  on the bye line and set up Fenwick, but Maxted pulled off a superb save to deny him six yards out.

After that, Quakers defended well, without allowing Guiseley any clear cut opportunities.
