This Saturday Quakers face Salford City at Heritage Park hoping to return to winning ways.
The Quakers have failed to win any of their last four matches in all competitions including a 2-2 draw in the FA Trophy with Marine last Sunday, but they are very determined to bounce back.
The replay with Marine on Tuesday was postponed and will now take place next Tuesday 6th December, with the winners travelling to Stockport County in the next round.
The Salford game could prove to be our last at Heritage Park, but there is the possibility still of a home game in the FA Trophy if we progress past Marine. Our next scheduled home game isn’t until Boxing Day, when we are due to host Halifax Town.
Salford were also held last weekend in the FA Trophy against Harrogate Town and their replay was also called off in midweek.
We have had a well-documented rivalry with the Ammies over the last two seasons where both sides have achieved back-to-back promotions.
The sides' last meeting in the EvoStik Premier last season saw two late goals from Leon Scott and Liam Hardy secure a dramatic 3-2 win for the Quakers at Heritage Park.
Salford sit in seventh place in the league only four points behind the Quakers. They have so far won five of their nine away games in the league. In their last four league games they have won three and have not conceded a goal.
Assistant manager Brain Atkinson spoke to the official website.
