Quaker Reserves lost 5-1 at home to second in the table Richmond , Lewis Reece scoring the goal when Quakers were 3-0 down at the time.
Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “We started too sloppy and couldn’t cope with their strength and formation. We changed our personnel and matched them 3-5-2 at half time, but at 3-0 down it’s a big ask. We got back to 3-1 and were the better side but two mistakes late in the game saw them score twice to slightly flatter them.
“A reality check after last week, and we are still a work in progress.”
The result means that Quakers stay third from bottom, two points ahead of Wolviston, and nine ahead of Harton and Westoe.
Their next game is at Gateshead Leam Rangers on Saturday, kick off 2pm.
