Quakers sign Theo Williams from Sheffield United

Versatile midfielder/striker arrives

Darlington have today signed versatile midfielder/striker Theo Williams on loan from Sheffield United until the end of February.

Theo, 19, has been with Sheffield United since his early teens, and made his debut in the Under 21s when he was aged just 15. In his two years as a scholar, he played regularly for the Under 18s and he scored the winner for the Blades in the Under 18 National final against Charlton at the end of last season.

He’s played regularly for the under 21s this season, and has played 18 games in all competitions, scoring three times and providing two assists.

Manager Alun Armstrong said; “I know that he’s a very exciting player, is quite nippy and can play in a variety of positions. I’m looking forward to seeing how Theo does in our games.”

We’d like to thank Sheffield United for their help in sorting out the loan.

We’d like to wish Theo all the best in his stay with us
