The reserves fought back in the second half to earn a point at Harton and Westoe on Wednesday night.
Joey Smith put the reserves into the lead from a Vinny Steele pass, but Harton hit back to level and then go in front courtesy of a defensive mistake.
But the lads fought back with a Nathan Stephenson penalty after Steele was brought down.
Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “Over the 90 minutes, I thought we had the better of the play, but we didn’t do enough to win. We made a mistake for their second goal, and got punished.
“The lads need to learn that if they make mistakes then they will be punished, especially when they’re playing on one of the best pitches in the league.”
The reserves next game is at Hartlepool on Saturday.
