The reserves are hoping to improve on their fourth place in the Wearside League table when they go to Wolviston tonight.
The lads bounced back to form on Saturday when they beat Harton and Westoe 3-0, with new signing Vinny Steele scoring twice, and now they’ve got Wolviston in their sights.
Wolviston have also made a good start to the season, and last week beat high flying Redcar Athletic to go sixth in the table.
Joint manager Paul Aldsworth said; “The lads played very well on Saturday, but this will be another test for us. Wolviston have made a really good start to the season, so we’ll need to be close to our best form.
“Packs will be starting to form soon. One that is chasing the title, one that will be in midtable, and one that is fighting to avoid the bottom. Our aim is to be in the pack that is chasing the title.”
The match kicks off at 6.30, because Wolviston don’t have floodlights.
