The reserves are looking for their second win of the new Wearside League season when they go to Stokesley on Wednesday night.

The lads won 5-0 at Prudhoe on Saturday in their first game, and they’re in the right frame of mind to pull off another win.

Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “The lads ticked all the boxes on Saturday with a very good all round performance, and just like the first team at Salford on Saturday, they have now set the standard. It was exactly what we wanted.”

Defender Kevin Burgess and midfielder Tom Portas could both be included in the squad as they continue their comebacks, while defender Derrick Wade will have a fitness test.

Stokesley drew their first game of the season at Gateshead Leam Lane on Saturday.
