Darlington Reserves 1 Cleator Moor Celtic 3.
The reserves suffered only their second defeat in their last ten matches in the Wearside League when they were beaten 3-1 at home by Cleator Moor.
The Cumbrians opened the scoring on 7 minutes, but Lewis Reece equalised for Quakers shortly after.
However, the Cumbrians scored twice in the space of two minutes in the second half to seal the points.
Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “Cleator Moor were the better team on the day. They had a game plan, and we were second best in most areas of the pitch. Cleator were a big, physical side with a couple of tricky players as well.
“I’ve told the players that we need to bounce back for our last two matches.”
Quakers play their last home game of the season at home to Hartlepool at Eastbourne on Saturday, and then they travel to Cumbria for the return league fixture a week on Wednesday.
