The reserves put in a hard working performance against third placed Redcar on Saturday, but lost to a second half goal.
The matchwinner was Redcar striker Andy Jennings, who has scored an impressive 92 goals for this club in the Wearside League in less than two seasons.
Reserves joint manager Mark Fanning said; “We had four good chances and didn’t put them away, they only had one and scored.
“We had more of the ball in the second half and put them under pressure, but they held on. We should have got something out of the game.
“It’s still an improvement, earlier in the season we would have lost that game 5-0 or 6-0.”
Quakers remain fifth from bottom of the table, and their next game is at Coxhoe Athletic on Saturday.
