From director John Tempest:

After taking advice from the the Blackwell Meadows groundsman, it’s likely that we will need to leave the snow on the pitch until early Saturday morning as it protects the pitch from any frost. At present a pitch inspection will take place at 9.30am on Saturday morning to determine whether the home game against Chorley will take place.

Therefore, in order to give ourselves an opportunity to stage the game and help the pitch pass the inspection, could volunteers come to Blackwell Meadows at 8am on Saturday morning with plastic shovels to help clear the pitch of any lying snow.

On Friday, we will also need help from volunteers to help clear the public and standing areas at 12noon -- that will also help us to put the game on. Sausage and bacon butties will be provided.

Many thanks for your help -- we will of course update on the official website when appropriate.
