Wednesday night’s game passed a late (and unexpected) pitch inspection after the groundstaff and volunteer stewards helped to clear a waterlogged patch in the Tin Shed penalty area.

This was an unexpected occurrence after a significant amount of money had been spent over the summer on the pitch and a renewal of the drainage system.

Upon discovering the issue the Club immediately contacted the contractors responsible for carrying out the work and a full inspection was scheduled for Thursday in order to determine the cause of the problem and any potential remedial work that needs to be undertaken. Once we have the full details of the inspection a further statement will be made jointly by the club and the DFCSG.
