Darlington Football Club is pleased to announce that Stephen Thompson has signed a new two year contract with the club.

“Thommo” signed for Quakers just after the start of our Northern League season in 2012, and since then he has gone to make 251 full and sub appearances for us, scoring 82 goals. He is our second highest top scorer this season with eight goals, and he underlined his value to us with the recent last minute winner against Kidderminster.

Manager Tommy Wright said; “We are delighted that Thommo has signed another contract. He’s a great lad. He has been a revelation since I came though the door, and has put in some outstanding performances. He will be a massive part of what I want to do at this football club because he offers so much. I like working with him, and I’m sure he feels the same way.”
