The club is sad to learn about Bob Cass, who died earlier this week at the age of 78.
Bob was a renowned football journalist, who started his career at the Northern Echo covering Darlington FC, and went on to work for the Sun and the Daily Mail.
Bob was a lifelong fan of the club, and followed its fortunes closely.
Darlington manager Martin Gray said; “Bob was a great friend of this club for many years, and helped it in several ways.”
Aminute’s silence will be observed for Bob, Paul Futcher and lifelong fan Jack Avery before Sunday's game against Marine.
