Following a very tough opponent in our first ever game last week, this week we played newly promoted Easington Colliery in what proved to be a very exciting and evenly matched game.

Starting off very brightly and playing some lovely football we scored after 10 minutes when Reuben Scotter converted a penalty when he was brought down in the box following some great build up play with Ashton Houlahan .

The remainder of the first half was very evenly matched with both teams creating chances but it was Easington who fought back despite strong defensive performances throughout from Lewis Meecham and Jamie Clack .

The second half started with a high tempo from both teams and some of the football was a pleasure to watch. Owen Robertson found himself in the right place at the right time to finish from close range .

Growing in confidence we continued to push forward with Luca Petch , Alfie Edwards and Callum Palmer trying to give us some width but Easington defended well and always looked dangerous on the counter attack,

With ten minutes left we continued to push forward and create chances Easington broke quickly a couple more times but some great goalkeeping from Dillon Russell kept us in the game unfortunately some good defending and the bar kept us out at the other end .

Please note that due to FA rules, we are not allowed to publish the ongoing score and final result
