Four injuries again going into this match, but the lads were in very high spirits and full of confidence.
From the off it wasn't long before Darlington were attacking the goal, several 1-2s up the pitch and a narrow miss from Spencer McCabe, another chance came to Dylan Nicholson, then one to Murray Brock all within the first 5 minutes.
Ethan Routledge decided to have a shot from distance but the keeper saved the shot. Callum McRae was feeling the force of a few late tackles from the opposition but soon brushed off the challenges and commanded the midfield well.
Spencer McCabe then played a brilliant through ball for Dylan Nicholson to make it 1-0, Sam Pocock hit a sweet shot to put the U12's 2-0 up. Foundation of Light shortly pulled one back with a very good run down the left hand-side, but Darlington hit back with a superb cross from Murray Brock to set up Jack Harland for his first of the game.

The defence line of Ethan Routledge, Josh Bell and Sam Pocock were holding the defence line very well and were able to make runs up either side of the pitch to support the midfielders. Another close shot from Murray Brock and Jack Harland hit the side netting as the lads again created more and more chances.
The first corner of the game came and Spencer McCabe whipped in a brilliant cross for Jack Harland to head his second goal, 4-1. Spencer McCabe then put Murray Brock through again for it to go wide by inches. Another corner from Spencer McCabe and another great cross for Jack Harland to convert his hat-trick,5-1. By half way through the second half, Matty Cotteril the keeper, had a very hoarse voice from barking orders at his team.
Jack Harland then played Spencer McCabe through, but his shot just went over the bar. Yet another great cross from Spencer McCabe only for the defender to bundle it into his own net (credited to Spencer). Josh Bell made another defensive clearance and the ball was played up the pitch to Dylan Nicholson who took it past three players to finish off with a brilliant goal, 7-1.
