Second met third in a really tough game.

Darlo started the game strong and were much the better side in the first half creating a couple of really good chances but couldn't get the goal they deserved because of some goal mouth scrambles and a couple of great saves by the Bishops’ keeper.

Fynn in goal for Darlo didn't have much to do until he was called upon and when he was, he dealt with it brilliantly and this was because the back three of Walters, Clark and Campbell were in control and never in danger .

The mid field three of Moncur, Crumpton and Keating were excellent on the ball trying to feed the forwards of either Diamond, Gibson or Davidson who were all a threat to the keeper of Bishop then finally Dixon would put Darlo in front.

The second half started more even with Bishop coming into it more but Darlo still edged it with Waites coming on at right back allowing Walters to be a threat on the right wing until Waites got injured and Walters had to go back to right back and Gibson came on at right wing.

Darlo created some good chances with Diamond as a loan striker working hard and causing the Bishop defence all sorts of problems only to be denied twice more by the excellent keeper who is Colin Montgomery’s grandson!!

Either the Darlo midfield driving forward and the back three and keeper fully in command of anything thrown at them Darlo nearly took the lead when the unlucky Dixon hit the post.

With 6 mins left and 0-0 looming the ball from Crumpton released Diamond who brilliantly opened his body up and curled a great strike over and round the keeper into the top corner to put Darlo 1-0 up.

Clark Campbell, Walters and Lumley in goal were excellent in the last five mins and held firm to get Darlo another impressive hard fought 3 point against a very good Bishop team.

Coach Warren is impressed and said “This team has still only lost one game all season and are proving to be a very good and very hard to beat!! Well done lads”
