Felling Magpies 0 Darlington FC Youth U15 3

What a fantastic game and a fantastic response from the team. When Steven broke onto Jakub through ball to make it 1-0 after 7 minutes it proved to set the tone. Missing last week's game due to injury the lad played out of his skin, running after everything and pinching balls throughout the whole game. The first half we played some great football and we had more shots on goal which should have found the back of the net.

Second half we soaked up their early pressure but a great 2nd goal by Keiron killed them off. This was built upon with great link up play. Jamie at left back took them on bring the ball down the wing more than one occasion to fly down the wing with Liam in support. With the wide play being successful on both sides as Matty was linking up well with midfield it allowed space for Lewis and Kerion to exploit. This brought our attack of Jakub and James into play who went on to score the third goal. The team were now in fifth gear. The defence were closing every attack and springing forward. Nothing was getting past Patrick who had his best game for Darlington and Harra at right back just showed how he can give 100% no matter where he plays. All this was directed from our captain and man of the match Alex. He showed leadership, attitude and commanded his defenders and team.
