Darlington FC Youth U17 5 Velocity U17 0

The Darlo boys started the game just how they wanted, with complete control of possession and chances were coming frequently. The lads were looking for a reaction from the disappointing loss in the previous game, somehow though, with all the possession and chances created, the boys went into the break at 0-0.

The second half came around and it was as if there was no break at all, the Darlo lads kept piling on the pressure until eventually, a smart ball into the box reached the head of Harry Gill, who headed the ball into the top corner to break the deadlock, 1-0!

This goal unlocked the floodgates for the lads as more and more pressure was to come, with the Darlo defence having next to nothing to do in the whole second half.

More goals soon came from James Walker with another header, Luke Jenkinson on his return from injury, Lewis Greenwood from a skilful run, and Luke Pattison with a very rare goal to finish things off. All in all, a great game from the whole team who get back to winning ways!
