The Under 18s travelled to South Shields after a winter break from the league.
The game started at a high tempo and possession was exchanged regularly.
The Quakers struggled to get into any sort of rhythm in the first 20 minutes. Danny Raw hit the bar on 25 minutes with a header from six yards. The game continued to be a stalemate with few chances.
After a goalless first half, soon after the break the hosts scored when the forward hooked the ball over the keeper’s head to make it 1-0.
Shields scored again soon after when a shot rocketed into the top corner giving the keeper no chance.
The visitors piled on the pressure and dale Milburn converted a neat right foot half volley from the outside of the area.
Matty Ridley headed a bouncing ball into the net from a setpiece with ten minutes left , but it was South Shields who took all the points when a direct ball fell to the forward who tapped in from a few yards.
