Man of the match went to Ben Snowden, for a very hard working display.

Darlington struggled to take recent form into the cup tie against Boro Rangers away.

The squad’s latest addition Will Coxon travelled with the squad but was unable to be named in the team because he was cup tied. Darlington lined up with Zach Judson in goal, with Jack Thompson and Ben Snowden in front of him in defence. The usual midfield of Charlie Cole, Max Atkinson and Jack Shaw played across the middle. Issac Marr was the team’s only striker.

The first half was all Rangers, who dominated the majority of the play. Rangers players were given room to play, and ultimately punished the away side. Darlington started the second half strongly, Jack Shaw coming alive in the middle, linking well with Ben Snowden at the back. Max Atkinson scored a good goal for Darlington.
