Darlington under 9s had another great game at Billingham Synthonia.
Zach Judson started in goal and had Ben Snowden and Max Atkinson in front of him in defence. An attacking four in the shape of Charlie Cole, Jack Shaw, Oliver Beacom and Will Coxon provided the attacking threat for the Quakers.
The game begun as an even affair with both teams testing out the opposition goalkeeper.
Debutant Oliver Beacom had the pick of the chances when he found himself ten yards from goal, but couldn't beat the Synners keeper.
Will Coxon then had a chance to open the scoring but his effort was just wide of the post.
From the resulting corner, a long ball from the Synners keeper managed to find its way to their striker, who finished neatly into the net.
Half time brought Issac Marr into the game, replacing Charlie Cole.
Minutes into the second half and Darlington were two behind, the Billingham striker doubling up for the day.
The 4 minutes which followed were possibly Darlington's best all season. Ben Snowden begun the comeback when his hopeful shot from just inside the oppositions half beat keeper.
Seconds later Darlington had a great string of passes that allowed Jack Shaw to pull a ball back to Marr inside the box, who finished nicely across the keeper.
As Darlington applied more pressure, they found themselves with a free kick twenty yards out. Ben Snowden drilled home, again into the far left corner to put his side into the lead.
Quakers scored another goal. Issac Marr won the ball from the Syners striker, and played a pin point pass through to substitute Harry Gunnall, who finished first time across goal, into the top corner. A great, thrilling game for all to watch.
Man of the match went to Issac Marr who changed the game from the minute he set foot on the pitch.
