Darlington slipped to their first away league defeat of the season on Saturday at Tamworth. Despite taking an early lead through Terry Galbraith, the Quakers lost 2-1.

AFC Fylde were able to take full advantage as they won 5-0 to extend their lead at the top to four points. Danny Rowe scored a hat-trick along with goals from Dan Bradley and Steve Williams. The top two meet at Heritage Park next Saturday.

Chorley are only two points behind Darlington after a 1-0 victory over Nuneaton Town thanks to a Marcus Carver strike just before half-time.

Boston United moved up to 12th in the table after winning 2-1 at Telford United. Former Quaker Jason St Juste gave Boston the lead, before Josh Wilson levelled midway through the second half for the hosts. However, Gregg Smith scored a stoppage time winner for the Pilgrims.

In the FA Cup, Halifax Town earned a 0-0 draw at National League side Dagenham and Redbridge and they must now replay at the Shay.

Alfreton also earned a place in the second round draw after coming from behind to draw 1-1 at home to League Two Newport County.

Curzon Ashton will fancy their chances of going through after drawing 1-1 at the lowest ranked team still in the competition, Westfields.

Brackley Town let a 2-0 lead slip at League One Gillingham, as they drew 2-2, but will still be delighted to be in the draw on Monday night.

Kidderminster Harriers faced the tough task of a trip to League Two Blackpool on Sunday and they fell to a 2-0 defeat.

Altrincham have also exited the competition after losing 2-1 at National League side Lincoln City.

Stockport County's cup run came to and end, as they lost 4-2 at home to Woking.
