AFC Fylde extended their lead at the top of the table to nine points after a 3-1 win at home to FC United of Manchester. Brendon Daniels and Dan Bradley put the hosts in control before half-time. Harry Winter pulled a goal back for FC United with eleven minutes to go, but Matty Hughes sealed the win for Fylde four minutes from time.
Salford City moved up to fourth after a 3-0 win over second place Kidderminster Harriers. All the goals came in the second half, with Josh Hine scoring twice along with a Jordan Hulme strike.
Third placed Chorley picked up an impressive win at eighth placed Brackley Town. Dale Whitham scored the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute for Chorley, to move them level on points with Kidderminster.
Tamworth moved up into the playoffs after a 3-2 win at home to Curzon Ashton. They appeared to be heading towards a comfortable victory at half-time, as they led 2-0 thanks to Greg Mills and Joe Clarke. However, Ryan Hall pulled one back for Curzon, before Ross Dyer regained Tamworth’s two goal lead and they were able to hold on for the win despite a late consolation through Liam Cummins.
Stockport County moved within a point of the playoffs after a 2-0 win away to Boston United. Danny Lloyd scored both goals in the 35th and 92nd minutes.
Halifax Town suffered a shock defeat at second bottom Stalybridge Celtic. Stalybridge won the game with a late winner in the final minutes from Chris Baguley.
There was also a late winner at Worcester, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Bradford PA. Nicky Boshell scored in the seventh minute of stoppage for Bradford who moved level on points with fourth bottom Gainsborough.
Gainsborough Trinity scored a late goal themselves to earn a point at Telford United. Eddie Jones gave Telford the lead in the first half, with Nathan Jarman earning a point for Trinity six minutes from time.
Bottom of the table Altrincham lost 1-0 at home to Gloucester City, Joe Parker scoring the only goal of the game in the first half.
However, the place to be on Saturday for goals was at Harrogate who beat Alfreton 6-3. Despite falling behind Simon Ainge scored four times for Harrogate along with goals from Warren Burrell and Joe Leesley. Mark Shelton, Paul Clayton and Craig Westcarr scored the goals for Alfreton, who are now only three points off the bottom three.
