On Wednesday night, Quakers play Bradford Park Avenue at Blackwell Meadows looking for our third successive win in the Vanarama National League North..
We’re right in the thick of the promotion fight, and battling it out for a play off place from the Vanarama National League North. After Saturday’s win over Brackley at Blackwell Meadows, Quakers were fifth in the table, just three points off second place.
We’re firmly on course for four promotions in five years, which if successful would be another major achievement and another glorious chapter in the club’s rags-to-riches story.
Director John Tempest said; “The excitement is non stop at Darlington FC at the moment. The hard work of everyone involved has brought the club back to the town, and we’re steadily building the future, while manager Martin Gray and the team have put the club on the brink of another promotion.
“Most of all during the last five years, our support has been magnificent, and now we’re urging everyone to come along and cheer us on.”
The club has now settled into its new Blackwell Meadows home, and Wednesday’s game against Bradford will be the club’s second floodlit match – the first was a win over Altrincham.
There have been some memorable matches since Quakers began their renaissance in 2012, and most of them seem to happen in the closing weeks of the season!
So if you haven’t been to see Quakers play at home yet, then why not pop along on Wednesday night, kick off 7.45. Better still, if you're a regular, then why not bring a friend?
Admission is £12 adults, £8 concessions and £4 for children.
All fans who attend also have the chance to win a pair of first class return rail tickets, courtesy of Virgin East Coast trains, for just a £1 in the club’s 50-50 draw. The tickets are for anywhere on the East Coast network!
