Darlington Reserves are hoping to cause another upset on Saturday when Wearside League leaders Jarrow come to Eastbourne.
Why not come along and watch the reserves, and see if they can win their seventh successive game?
They’ve pulled off some surprise results in recent weeks, none more so than the great 3-2 win over third placed Redcar Athletic a fortnight ago.
“This will be our toughest game of the season, but we’ve said the same thing in previous games, and the lads have risen to the challenge.
“We’ll give the game our best shot as ever. The players have shown that they can adapt to different situations, as they did against Redcar a fortnight ago. The y struggled with the physicality of the game, but they still found a way to win.”
The reserves are currently seventh in the table , while Jarrow are nine points clear at the top.
Keeper Carl Robinson and defender Ethan Harker are both away on County duty, while John Barker, Lewis Reece, Danny Wheeler and Alex Nelson are also missing for other reasons, which means that some of the club’s Under18s will be promoted for the day.
