Come and see David Johnston in a punk rock band!
Everyone has seen Darlington Chief Executive Officer David Johnston standing in front of fans talking about the club at a fans’ forum, but now here’s a chance to see David in a different guise – in a punk rock band!
Dave and some of his mates are in a punk rock band that goes around the region playing for charities and organisations, and on Saturday 31st March, the band – Silly Things – will be playing the Cleveland Club in aid of DFC.
“We’ve been doing this for quite a while,” said Dave. “We get together and do gigs every now and again, and play some punk rock. All of us grew up in that era.
“Personally, I haven’t modelled myself on anybody – I’m no Sid Vicious or anyone like that – and I don’t do any of the moves. If I did the Dying Fly, I wouldn’t be able to get back up off the floor because of my bad back!”
Everyone at the club thinks it’s a great gesture by Dave and his mates to play the Cleveland Club, and he deserves our support. Admission is £5, tickets are available in advance from Rob Duncan and Quaker Retail and online here
