Come and see Emile Heskey in the big Legends game!
Former England international Emile Heskey has agreed to play in the MarathonBet #NonLeagueChallenge team against Quakers on Sunday 29th July.
Emile, now 40, made his debut for Leicester City in 1995, and helped them win the Worthington Cup in 1997 and 2000, and after making 197 appearances for them and scoring 46 times, he moved to Liverpool for £11 million.
When at Anfield, he helped them win a treble of FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup in 2001, scoring 22 goals along the way. He was also in the team that won the League Cup again in 2003.
He scored 60 goals in 223 matches for Liverpool, before he moved on to Birmingham (78 games 16 goals), Wigan (88 games 15 goals), Aston Villa (110 games, 14 goals), Newcastle Jets (42 games, 10 goals) and Bolton (48 games, 3 goals)
Emile was also capped 62 times by England between 1999 and 2010, including one of the goals in England’s famous 5-1 win over Germany in Berlin. Watch it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUHTT2VnKao
He played in the 2002 and 2010 World Cups, and the 2004 European Championship.
