David Pocklington

Long-serving and devoted fan passes away
The club is sad to learn of the passing of devoted fan David Pocklington at the age of 50.
David had been a Darlington fan all his life, going to many home and away games, and was a season ticket holder until recently. He enjoyed our promotion-winning seasons, went to Wembley to support the Quakers three times, and supported our fundraising campaigns.
His close friend, Dave Chapman, said; “David always came to work with his old Darlington shirts and could recite their history for what seemed like forever. His favourite memories used to be from when he was in the ‘Shed’ end.
“And anyone who didn’t support Darlington, or at a push Boro, at work he used to call them Glory Hunters as a nickname! He was chuffed when the club moved back to Darlington.”
David’s funeral is on Monday 29th July at Crakehall Church, beginning at 1pm.
Our sincere condolences go to David’s family and friends.
