Former Darlington keeper David Preece is returning as part of the Marathon Bet #NonLeagueChallenge legends squad on Sunday!
David was signed by Darlington manager David Hodgson in the summer of 1997 after the keeper was freed by Sunderland, and he went on to make over 100 appearances for us in two seasons before he was transferred to Aberdeen.
He played a key role in our run to the third round of the FA Cup, saving two penalties in the second round shootout at Solihull.
He was transferred to Aberdeen and stayed there for six years, before playing in Europe and then for Lincoln City.
He is now a qualified goalkeeping coach, and also writes columns for several newspapers.
You can see him and plenty of other legends on Sunday at Blackwell Meadows, kick off 2pm -- simply pay on the gate. £10 adults, £5 for concessions and under 16s, free for Under 5s
