Darlington FC are pleased to announce that Newton Aycliffe-based company Ebac will be the club’s shirt sponsor for the next two seasons with a third-year option.
DFC Director John Tempest commented; “We have been in discussions with Ebac over the last few weeks and with them having now completed their due diligence, I’m delighted that they have chosen to partner the club for the next two seasons. Their owner, John Elliott, has the same philosophy in his business which complements very well into our fan-owned club”.
Ebac, whose headquarters are on the Aycliffe Industrial Park, were founded in 1972 by John Elliott MBE, whose philosophy is “to understand your customers and then engineer innovative products which meet their needs better than anyone else in the market.”
Expanding on its position as European market leaders in dehumidifiers and watercoolers, Ebac has recently entered the white goods market, becoming the first company in 20 years to design and manufacture a washing machine in the UK.
In 2012, Mr Elliott created the Ebac foundation, which meant that profits are reinvested back into the company for growth purposes, and any surplus can be used to benefit the local community. The company currently sponsor a variety of clubs and organisations in the local area.
Ebac financial director Graham Currie commented; “We are happy to be able to partner with Darlington FC, their values and ambitions align well with our own.”
