Darlington lost top spot in the league despite winning their only fixture this week. On Saturday goals from Nathan Cartman and Adam Mitchell helped the side to a 2-1 victory over Mickleover Sports.

Several of the division’s sides were in FA Cup action in the final qualifying round this week and all were able to qualify for the next round.

Salford City were able to reach the first round with a fantastic strike from ex Hartlepool player James Poole. Poole scored the only goal of the game for Salford at home to Southport in the 69th minute. Their reward in the first round is a tie at home to Notts County which will be shown live on the BBC.

Stourbridge were equally impressive against Conference opposition, as they dispatched local rivals Kidderminster 3-0 in front of over 2,000 fans. Matthew Dodd and Justin Richards put Stourbridge in control in the first quarter of an hour, before Chris Lait sealed the victory early in the second half. Their reward is a first round tie away to Conference side Dover Athletic.

Barwell suffered last minute heartache in their first match with AFC Rushden and Diamonds. They twice lead through Anthony Carney and Richard Lavery only for Liam Dolman to equalise twice for Rushden, the second of which came in stoppage time. However, Barwell were able to complete a fantastic victory in the replay. Brady Hickey scored the only goal of the game for Barwell with eight minutes to go. They will host Conference side Welling.

In the league Blyth Spartans moved top after winning both games this week. On Saturday they won impressively 4-0 at Buxton. Daniel Maguire scored all four goals in the victory.

They then won at Whitby Town on Wednesday night, 2-0. Maguire again scored both of the goals.

Nantwich Town are in third place after picking up four points this week. On Saturday they drew 1-1 with Marine. Matthew Bell gave Nantwich the lead before Daniel Mitchley earned a point for Marine. On Tuesday night they required a last minute winner at home to Stourbridge. Liam Shotton scored the only goal of the game in injury-time for Nantwich. They are two points behind Darlington, but have played a game more.

Salford are fourth despite a dramatic draw at home to Matlock Town on Tuesday night. James Poole gave the Ammies the lead, before Laurie Wilson levelled before half-time for the visitors. Richard Allen appeared to have scored a stoppage time winner for Salford from the penalty spot. However, Danny Holland levelled even deeper into injury-time for Matlock, as the game finished 2-2.

Hyde United have moved into a play-off place with back-to-back victories this week.  On Saturday they thrashed bottom of the table Ramsbottom 5-0. Scott Spencer scored a hat-trick along with two goals from Ayrton Bevins. Spencer was at the heart of a Hyde victory once again on Monday night, as they overcame Colwyn Bay 3-2. Bevins gave Hyde an early lead, but Robbie Booth and Cory Williams turned the game in the Welsh sides favour. However, it was Spencer once again who came to Hyde’s rescue, as he scored twice in four minutes to win the game. He is the division’s top scorer with 15 goals.

Ilkeston won their only game of the week to move up to sixth place. Goals from Charlie Coulson and Joe Burgess put Ilkeston 2-0 up at half-time at home to Grantham. Ben Saunders pulled a goal back for the visitors, but Ilkeston held on for the victory.

Buxton were able to put a halt to their recent slide with victory over Ramsbottom. Marcus Poscha had given the visitors a shock early lead. However, Ashley Burbeary and Bradley Barraclough won the game for Buxton.

Workington are ninth after winning their only game of the week. Two late goals saw them come from behind to win at home to Skelmersdale United. Gerard Kinsella had given Skelmersdale the lead after 40 minutes, but Gareth Arnison and Gari Rowntree both scored in the final quarter of an hour to give Workington the points.

Halesowen Town picked up four points this week to move into the top ten in the league table. On Saturday they claimed victory over Skelmersdale United 2-1.  Aaron Daniels and Reece Hales scored for Halesowen, before a late consolation for the visitors from Robert McIntosh. They were held to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday by Mickleover Sports. Daniels gave Halesowen a first half lead, but Andrew Dales earned Mickleover a point.

Ashton United moved up to 11th with two home wins this week. On Saturday Jason Gorton scored the only goal of the game at home to Stamford. Ashton then won 3-2 at home to Marine. Chris Baguley scored twice along with a goal from Aaron Burns to put Ashton in control. Daniel Mitchley and Andrew Owens got Marine back into the game, but they could not get the equaliser.

Rushall Olympic moved up to 13th in the league with two victories this week.  They came from behind against Colwyn Bay last weekend. Robbie Booth gave Colwyn a first half lead, before Luke Benbow scored twice to win the game for Rushall.

On Tuesday they won convincingly 5-1 against Stamford. Benbow was on the scoresheet once again, with Jake Heath scoring twice along with goals from Massiah McDonald and Kris Taylor. Andrew Phillips scored a late goal for Stamford.

Before their defeat to Blyth, Whitby were able to beat Matlock to climb up to 21st in the division.  Matthew Waters opened the scoring for Whitby before Michael Roberts doubled the lead from the penalty spot. Joel Purkiss scored the late goal for Matlock.

The final game of the week saw Frickley Athletic beat Sutton Coldfield Town 3-1. Zephanian Thomas scored after 35 minutes before a Bradley Grayson double sealed the win. Former Shrewsbury striker Luke Rodgers pulled one back for Sutton Coldfield, but it was not enough.
