First friendly at Heritage Park tonight

Several triallists included

Quakers play their first pre season friendly at Bishop Auckland tonight, kick off 7.30pm.

Manager Steve Watson will take a squad that will include all the club’s summer signings, as well as several triallists who have been training with Quakers so far.

Since the end of last season, Quakers have signed Jack Maskell, Joe Leesley, Scott Barrow and Pete Jameson, while Jarrett Rivers, Kallum Griffiths, Matty Cornish and Ben Hedley have all signed new deals.

Steve and his assistant Terry Mitchell have invited several triallists to training so far, and they’ll have a good look at them in action during the friendly programme.

Heritage Park holds plenty of happy memories of three memorable promotions in four seasons, and of course it was here where the fan-owned club had its first game, against Bishop Auckland in the Northern League way back in 2012.

Admission prices are £8 for adults and £5 for under 16s.

Car Parking is available on a first come first served basis, spectators are advised not to park on the roadside as they are likely to receive tickets. Since the opening of the new retail park opposite the ground this road has become even more busy.
