Free admission to the Chester game for members of the Armed Forces

Remembrance Day

Darlington FC is delighted to announce that this Saturday, Remembrance Day, we will be honouring and remembering those that have lost their lives on the line of duty.

The British Armed Forces are the military services responsible for the defence of the United Kingdom, its overseas territories and the Crown dependencies. They also promote the UK's wider interests, support international peacekeeping efforts and provide humanitarian aid.

The teams will be led out by the past , present and future of the military -  Sergeant Andy Cornfield of 37 Signal Regiment 50 (N) Signal Squadron Bradford Armoury ARC based on Neasham Road in Darlington , his son Finley of Durham Cadets B Company parachute regiment based in Consett and David Huggins a veteran 18 years service in the Royal Welsh Infantry accompanied by students of a military preparation course that David is manager of.

We will be supporting a collection for the Poppy appeal on the day, and there will be a minute's silence observed before the game.

Tickets for the game are on general sale now at

and are free for serving members of the Armed Forces, as well as veterans, Cadets, Reservists and uniformed organisations such as Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Beavers, Squirrels and Sea Scouts.

Those applying for free tickets will be required to wear uniform on the day of the game or provide the following identification in advance:

  • Cadet ISD document
  • MOD90 ID card
