Friendly return to Heritage Park tonight (kick off 7pm)

AA sending a mixture of players

Darlington manager Alun Armstrong will send a mixture of players to the latest friendly at Bishop Auckland at Heritage Park on Monday evening (kick off 7pm).

The manager was very pleased with the performance, especially in the second half, at Harrogate Town on Friday night, and he may use tonight’s game for some of his players to further improve their understanding.

One player who is almost certain to be included tonight is striker Jamie Holmes (top), who set up Quakers’ goal for Jarrett Rivers on Friday, and showed some other moments of magic in the game.

AA also wants to see more of the triallists that are at the club at the moment, especially Justin Donawa, who score for Bermuda in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in June. Donawa is quite an athlete, he has also participated in the 2013 World Youth Championships. Tehvan Tyrell and Osagi Bascombe are also likely to play, as well as Lewis Bell.

Heritage Park holds plenty of fond memories for us of course – it was our home for three successful promotion campaigns. Bishops are managed by Ian Chandler, who took them to within a whisker of the top two last season.

Admission prices tonight are £6 adults, £4 concessions and £2 for Under 18s (Under 11s free)
