The Christmas Draw, which has been organised by Darlington Youth FC and DFCSG, is almost a magnificent sell out!

The two organisations printed 5000 draw tickets with some excellent prizes on offer, and all but a handful of tickets have gone! The last remaining tickets will go on sale tonight at 6pm in the Dolphin Centre bistro, before the draw itself starts at around 7.30.

Everyone has worked really hard to sell them, especially as the opportunities to sell tickets at home games have been lost because of postponements.

The idea of a method to sell tickets to exiled fans all around the world has also gone down really well.

Chief executive officer Dave Mills said: “On behalf of the Board of Directors I’m overwhelmed by the efforts of everyone from the Darlington Football Club Supporters Group and Darlington Youth Football Club in making the Christmas Raffle Draw a tremendous success. Their efforts reflect the whole volunteer ethos we have running throughout the Club and the determination shown by the raffle organisers demonstrate the true spirit and commitment they have for our Club. I must also thank everyone who bought the raffle tickets, it is very much appreciated.”

Neil Raper from the Darlington FCSG said; “It has been a fantastic effort by Darlo fans considering we haven't had a single home match in which to sell tickets.”

Lee Nicholson from Darlington Youth FC said; "It has been a great effort by everyone concerned."

The draw will be live from the Dolphin Centre on the website on tonight. There's also be netcafes featuring Lee Nicholson and Neil Raper, plus any latest news. If you have any questions, then please mail them to commercial@dfc1883.co.uk
