The latest from around the league

We picked up our first point of the campaign at home to Gateshead on Wednesday night with Michael Liddle scoring in a 1-1 draw.

Surprisingly only one side have a 100% record so far, Guiseley. They followed up their opening day 3-0 victory at home to King’s Lynn with a fantastic 5-0 win at Bradford PA, who sit bottom of the table. Aaron Martin scored a hat-trick with Aram Soleman and Jamie Spencer also scoring for Guiseley.

Five sides have four points so far with Curzon Ashton leading the way after a 0-0 draw at Southport.

York and Farsley Celtic also are unbeaten after holding each over to a 0-0 draw at Bootham Crescent.

Leamington picked up a good 2-0 win at home to last season’s playoff semi-finalists Brackley. Jack Lane put the hosts ahead on 17 minutes  with Jordan Murphy sealing the victory.

Hereford are the final side on four points after a 2-0 success on the road at Gloucester. Goals in either half from Keiran Thomas and Tom Owen-Evans gave the Bulls victory.

Two sides fancied to do well this season, Chester and Altrincham are both still looking for their first win after holding each other to a 1-1 draw. Alty took the lead after just 11 minutes thanks to an own goal, but Gary Roberts levelled for Chester deep into injury time.

Alfreton Town and Boston United also could not be separated in a 1-1 draw. Amari Morgan-Smith put Alfreton ahead in the first half from the penalty spot, with Jake Wright levelling just after the hour mark.

AFC Telford United got off the mark with a 2-0 win over Kidderminster Harriers. Darryl Knights opened the scoring against his former club with Aaron Williams sealing the win in the second half.

The final game saw King’s Lynn Town pick up their first points of the new season with a 2-1 victory at home to our opponents on Saturday Kettering Town. Adam Marriott and Sonny Carey’s goals gave King’s Lynn the points, with Brett Solkhon scoring the late consolation for Kettering.
