We said goodbye to Mark Cooper as manager six years in October 2011, the Quakers’ boss sacked after what had been a disappointing start to the Conference season.

His final game was a 3-1 loss at Braintree Town, Raj Singh axing the manager with Darlington 14th in the table.

The news came 170 days since Cooper had led Darlington to Wembley glory in the final of the FA Trophy final.

He is pictured a month before the Braintree match, during a game at Cambridge United when he had been sent to the stands in a 2-0 defeat.
