Preview and stats pack for Saturday’s away game at Stockport County
On the final day of the season we travel to former Football league rivals Stockport County (writes Simon Hahn). Results in the last week ended our slight hopes of a playoff place while County have secured their place in the end of season lottery.
We suffered a disappointing 4-2 defeat at home to Southport on Wednesday night in our final game of the campaign at Blackwell Meadows.
It means we go into the final weekend of the season in 12th place in the table.
Stockport have had an excellent second half of the season and regardless of the result will finish 5th meaning they will be at home to the sixth placed team in the first round of playoff games. In the league they have won eight of their last ten league games as they have stormed out of the pack to clinch a playoff place.
Our meeting earlier in the season saw us draw 1-1 after Terry Galbraith had appeared to give us all the points only for County to level deep into stoppage time.
Kick off on Saturday is 3:00pm, updates on the game will be made from the club’s Facebook, Twitter and Website. Live Commentary will be broadcast from Darlo Fans Radio at 2:50pm.
Team news:
Terry Galbraith, Luke Trotman, and Joe Wheatley will all have fitness tests.
